Ch. 5 Developing a Global Vision

Beats Electronics launched its first product in 2008, the appetite of consumers for expensive, large headphones with an overtly hip-hop music branding seemed highly uncertain. More than four years later, Beats by dre headphones has become firmly established as the global market leader for headphones priced at more than US$100.
Beats is considered to be one of the hottest brand of headphones out there, the high-end Beats headphones, which cost anywhere from $99 to $450, have slowly replaced the annoying ubiquitous white ear buds that are sold with iPods. Famous sports athletes and celebrities artists like Michael Phelps, ill Wayne and LeBron James design their own line of Beats headphones.
And the entire USA Basketball team to Lady Gaga and will.i.am was seen wearing the headphones.

Social media is a great way to connect with your audience and have a two-way conversation. But it can be easy to forget that not everyone who finds your social media pages will speak your language, or be able to relate to your region’s latest trends. It is safe to say that Facebook is one of the largest growing global social media out there today.
